Welcome to the WaterfallModel3D project website!
The aim of WaterfallModel3D is to understand how one of the most dynamic features of landscapes, waterfalls, evolve through time. This will be carried out using state-of-the-art experiments and numerical modelling approaches, at Géosciences-Rennes at the Université de Rennes 1, France.
WaterfallModel3D is a two-year research project (2016-2018) led by Dr. Edwin Baynes, funded through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowship scheme, part of the European Union Horizon 2020 programme.
Please explore the website to find out more about the research project, get in touch with the research team, or engage with our research. We’re always happy to hear from you, answer any questions you may have either about our research or more generally about waterfalls, rivers and landscapes!
Over the duration of WaterfallModel3D, this website will populated with news, photos and videos as well as further information about outreach activities and publications.
